Seong-Jae Lim drops 4 spots to No. 24 in world rankings ahead of The Open
South Korea’s Sungjae Lim has jumped four spots in the world rankings following a strong showing at the Genesis Scottish Open, the final major of the season.
Lim is ranked 24th in the men’s golf weekly world rankings released Friday. He was ranked 28th last week.
Lim finished tied for fourth at the Genesis Scottish Open, which concluded today, after leading the field for all four days.
Kim Ju-hyung Kim remained at No. 17, while Byung-hoon Ahn slipped from No. 30 to No. 32. Kim Si Woo moved up from 50th to 48th.
Lim, Kim Joo-hyung, Ahn Byung-hoon and Kim Si-woo will compete in The Open, which begins on Sept. 18 at Royal Troon in Scotland.
Jang Yubin Jang, who successfully defended her title at the Gunsan CC Open on the Korean Professional Golf (KPGA) Tour, jumped from 197th to 156th.
Jang became the highest-ranked player on the KPGA Tour.
Robert McIntyre (Scotland), who won the Genesis Scottish Open, jumped vertically from No. 44 to No. 16. 안전놀이터
