Football Insider reports Son Heung-min’s ‘Munich transfer rumor’, “Saudi teams are interested”
A local report has emerged that Korean soccer star Son Heung-min is discussing a new contract behind closed doors with Tottenham (England) even as he is receiving interest from Saudi Arabia.
British sports media Football Insider reported on the 26th (local time) that “the two sides are expected to formally negotiate a new contract this summer,”

Son Heung-min’s current contract with Tottenham runs until June 2025.
If the contract is renewed as reported,
Son Heung-min will wear the Tottenham uniform for a while after 2025.
The media outlet claimed that discussions on a new contract are already taking place informally.
He added that Son Heung-min has been receiving interest from Saudi teams recently.
Football Insider, which has consistently reported on Son Heung-min’s future using the words of an anonymous official,
said that Bayern Munich (Germany) is interested in recruiting Son Heung-min in 2021 and that they can wait for more than a year.
Son Heung-min re-signed with Tottenham instead of Munich that year and agreed to stay with Tottenham until 2025.
Football Insider recently said that Tottenham is keeping an eye on Son Heung-min and Hwang Hee-chan (Wolverhampton),
who plays for the national team as an attacker, and also raised the possibility of a transfer this summer.
In addition, it was claimed that Hwang Hee-chan could move from Tottenham to Liverpool (England),
a prestigious club with the likes of Muhammad Salah, Darwin Núñez, and Diogo Jota,
through the upcoming summer transfer market.
Since last year, rumors of Son Heung-min’s transfer to the Saudi team have been consistently raised through various media.
In June last year, global sports media ESPN reported that Saudi club Al-Ittihad offered Son Heung-min a large contract that would pay 30 million euros (about 43.3 billion won) each season.
Son Heung-min has dismissed rumors of a transfer to Saudi Arabia in several official appearances.
Son Heung-min, who met with domestic reporters after the friendly match against El Salvador at Daejeon World Cup Stadium immediately after the ESPN report, said,
