Seo Chang-wan and Lee Ji-hoon share bronze in the men’s relay at the Modern Pentathlon World Championships
Seo Chang-wan (Jeonnam-do) and Lee Ji-hoon (Korea Land and Housing Corporation) 토토 shared the bronze medal in the men’s relay at the 2023 International Modern Pentathlon Federation (UIPM) World Championships.
The duo finished third behind Egypt and Hungary in the men’s relay at the event in Bath, England, on Feb. 22.
The duo got off to a strong start in their first event, fencing, where they earned the second-highest score with 18 wins. They finished 10th in equestrian with 272 points, 안전놀이터 but bounced back with a third-place finish in swimming.
They started the Laser Run (combined shooting and athletics) in third place and crossed the finish line with a total score of 1462, behind Egypt (1467) and Hungary (1463).
In the women’s relay, Kim Se-hee (BNK Savings Bank) and Sung Seung-min (Korea Gymnastics Team) competed but failed to make the podium, finishing ninth. Kim was disappointed that she was unable to earn any points after falling in the equestrian event.
Meanwhile, the finals of the individual modern pentathlon will be held on Nov. 27. Seo Chang-wan and Lee Ji-hoon, 스포츠토토 as well as Jeon Woong-tae (Gwangju City Hall) and Jeong Jin-hwa (LH) will try to win a medal.
