Seong-jae Im, Kyung-hoon Lee, and Seong-hyeon Kim tied for 27th place in the first round of the John Deere Classic (total prize money of $8 million) on the US PGA Tour.
On the first day of the tournament held at TPC Deere Run (par 71, 7,289 yards) in Silvis, Illinois, USA on the 5th (Korean time), Im Seong-jae shot a 5-under 66 with 6 birdies and 1 bogey in the first round.
Lim Seong-jae, 7 strokes behind the leader, finished the first day of play tied for 27th place along with Lee Kyung-hoon and Kim Seong-hyun.
Seongjae Im, who started at the 10th hole (par 5), had six birdies by the end of the 17 holes, but his only bogey of the day came at the final 9th hole (par 4).
On the 7th hole (par 3), he also made a birdie putt of about 7m.

Furyk shot a 59 in the second round of the 2013 BMW Championship, marking his second time in the 50s.
There hasn’t been a PGA Tour score in the 50s since Scottie Scheffler (USA) recorded it in the second round of the 2020 Northern Trust, but there have been two this year.
Of the 13 previous 50-somethings, only five ended in victory, less than half.
Springer, who made his PGA Tour debut this year, has yet to win, with his best finish being a tie for third at the Puerto Rico Open in March.
He had a daughter, Sage, in 2020, but Sage passed away in November last year after battling a chromosomal abnormality.
