Women’s National Volleyball Team trains in Croatia and Romania
The South Korean women’s national volleyball team will train in Croatia and Romania from July 24 to Aug. 5.
The Korea Volleyball Association announced on Friday the 14 players who will participate in the overseas training camp.
Most of the players were selected from this year’s Volleyball Nations League (VNL), including setter Kim Dain (Hyundai E&C) and outside hitters Kang So-hui (Korea Expressway Corporation) and Jeong Jung-yoon (Hyundai E&C).
In addition, national youth high school outside hitter Lee Ju-ah (Mokpo Women’s) was named to the senior squad for the first time.
Lee Han-bi (Pepper Savings Bank) and Na Hyun-soo (Hyundai E&C) also join Fernando Morales’ squad to provide strength on both wings.
The team will test their mettle in friendly matches against Croatia on July 27-29 and Romania on August 1-3.
“We are very excited about this training camp to prepare for the future of the women’s national team,” Morales said through the federation. “We have improved a lot during the VNL, but at the same time, we have also seen where we need to improve. This overseas training and friendly matches will be a time to prepare for the future of the VNL and the national team next year.”
The team gathered on Thursday at the Heungkuk Life Training Center in Yongin, Gyeonggi-do, and will train at the Heungkuk Life Gymnasium and Kyung Hee University Gymnasium before departing on the 24th. 파워볼실시간
