Kershaw gives up two runs on six hits in 4 innings in comeback win…Ohtani blasts 31st homer
With Clayton Kershaw back on the mound after surgery, Shohei Ohtani hit his 31st home run of the season.
Kershaw, the “legendary” starting pitcher of the Los Angeles Dodgers of Major League Baseball (MLB), was replaced after giving up two runs on six hits in four innings in a home game against the San Francisco Giants at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California, on Saturday (local time).
Kershaw, who threw 72 pitches, struck out six and walked two.
Kershaw, the Dodgers‘ franchise star, underwent shoulder surgery after last season and has been rehabbing ever since.
In his first big league start of the season, Kershaw gave up a single and a walk in the top of the first inning to put runners on first and second, but got a strikeout to end the threat.
However, he gave up two runs on four hits, including a triple to Tyler Fitzgerald in the top of the third inning to take a 1-0 lead.
He retired the side in order in the top of the fourth, allowing just one walk and no hits.
The Dodgers cut the lead to 3-2 in the bottom of the fourth on a double by Enrique Hernandez and an RBI single by Austin Burns.
After tying the game at 4-4, Nick Ahmed and Ohtani hit back-to-back home runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to give the Dodgers a 6-4 victory.
Ohtani, who hit his 31st home run of the season while batting first, extended his National League home run lead. 안전놀이터
