Hwang In-beom aims for bigger leagues, “I always have a dream → if the opportunity comes, there is no reason to hesitate”
Hwang Inbeom, who has emerged as one of the best midfielders in Serbia’s top flight, is endlessly humble. He is determined to continue to improve and develop.
At 4 p.m. on Sept. 9, the South Korean men’s national soccer team trained at the Goyang Sports Complex in Goyang, Goyang Province. Led by interim head coach Kim Do-hoon, South Korea will face China at 8 p.m. on Nov. 11 at Seoul World Cup Stadium in the final match of the second round of Asian qualifying for the FIFA World Cup 2026. South Korea has already qualified for the third round of qualifying, but they have a reason to defend their FIFA ranking position. Left fullback Kim Jin-soo (Jeonbuk Hyundai) and center midfielder Hwang In-beom (Tsubena Zvezda) stood in front of the media at the Goyang Sports Complex 온라인카지노 on Monday.
Hwang was named the best player of the 2023-2024 Serbian First Division. In just one season, he had dominated Serbia. But Hwang still has his sights set higher. As he has done throughout his career, he only wants to improve.
“When I come to the national team, I try to behave in a more exemplary way. My behavior can teach the younger players something. I used to do the same thing when I was younger, so I try to be more careful. I try to do my best to fulfill the instructions given by my teachers on the field,” he said, noting that he works harder than in the past to maintain a good atmosphere in the national team.
Recently, Min-kyu has emerged as a powerful striker for the national team. Hwang In-beom says, “Min-gyu has the ability to hold up under pressure and connect with the players in the second line. He’ll always find a way to get the ball to me, and he’ll even ask me to play underneath him. The players in training try their best to fulfill his demands. And vice versa, Mingyu listens to the other players. “Each player has different strengths,” he says, “and that’s why we played as well as we did last time. When we play with his style, we know that he will keep the ball and connect with us somehow. It’s easy to play with him,” he said.
Hwang In-beom also anticipated the atmosphere against China. “It’s not just us, but everyone knows that (China) is a tough team,” he said, adding, “Even if we’ve qualified for the next round, we can’t get carried away. We won 3-0 away from home. We will come back with a good performance and result,” he vowed.
Hwang In-beom also has aspirations for a bigger league and a bigger club. “When I became a soccer player, the one thing that hasn’t changed since I started having that dream is the choice to play better soccer. I really want to compete at a higher level. In a way, I’ve been doing that by changing teams a lot, and it’s the same now. It’s not easy to change teams. It’s important to sign a contract with the club. First of all, after this match, I will have time to rest. It’s been a long time. I’m going to clear my mind and body, and I’m looking forward to seeing what happens after that. Maybe there will be some good opportunities or maybe I can stay with the team and challenge for the UEFA Champions League. I don’t know what will happen, but that’s what makes me excited. But I always have dreams. If the right opportunity comes along, there is no reason to hesitate.”
